Richard P. Stanley Seminar in Combinatorics: Ada Stelzer (University of Michigan)
Ada Stelzer of the University of Michigan speaks on Gröbner crystal structures. When a reductive group acts on an embedded variety, its coordinate ring is a representation, recorded by an equivariant Hilbert series or K-polynomials, and combinatorial rules for their coefficients are sought. For generalized determinantal varieties, where pipe dreams and the RSK correspondence arise, Stelzer presents joint work with Abigail Price and Alexander Yong computing these series, and open problems.
