PIER Public Seminar: Phone-Free Schools and Achievement Growth
Douglas Staiger, an economist at Dartmouth College, presents a student-level analysis of how phone-free school policies relate to growth in achievement. The talk belongs to the Partnering in Education Research (PIER) public seminar series of Harvard's Center for Education Policy Research. Staiger's earlier research, much of it with the center's founder Thomas Kane, has examined teacher effectiveness and how schools measure it.
