Half-Earth Day 2026 | Half-Earth at Ten: Honoring a Legacy of Hope
Marking ten years since E.O. Wilson's book Half-Earth and the first Half-Earth Day, this afternoon program mixes science, film, Indigenous testimony, poetry and music. Photographer Florian Schulz presents his Alaska wilderness work; Bert Hölldobler, who shared the Pulitzer with Wilson for The Ants, joins Naomi Pierce in a tribute; and the Gorongosa Restoration Project receives the E.O. Wilson Legacy Award. Adrienne Keene (Cherokee Nation) emcees.
