Boston University Baroque Orchestra
The Boston University Baroque Orchestra closes the fall semester with music by Vivaldi, Purcell, Telemann, Handel and Bach, chosen to feature each of its players. The programme includes Telemann's Burlesque de Quixotte, a suite on episodes from Cervantes's novel, and Purcell's incidental music for Aphra Behn's 1676 tragedy Abdelazar, whose Rondeau Britten later used for The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra.
