Chasing Beauty: A Conversation with Natalie Dykstra and Curator Meg Winslow
Natalie Dykstra presents the research behind Chasing Beauty, her life of Isabella Stewart Gardner, which reads Gardner's museum and its holdings “as a kind of memoir” and won the Marfield Prize for arts writing. She talks with Meg Winslow, Mount Auburn's senior curator of historical collections, about their collaboration and what makes a biography come alive. Dykstra, emerita professor of English at Hope College, also wrote Clover Adams.
