SCSB Special Seminar: Aya Ito-Ishida on Cross-Species Cortical Network Alterations
Aya Ito-Ishida, a physician-scientist who leads the Laboratory for Brain Development and Disorders at the RIKEN Center for Brain Science in Japan, presents work combining resting-state fMRI in people with Rett syndrome and wide-field calcium imaging in mice. The findings point to a shared disruption of cortical functional hierarchy that tracks behavioural severity and reverses in mice when MECP2 is reintroduced. Hosted by Giselle Fernandes and Mriganka Sur.
