Walter Chapin's a cappella chorale takes its title from a line of Tennyson's The Lotos-Eaters and opens each half with a setting of it, by Robert Hobby and then Daniel Gawthorp. Folk-song arrangements by Vaughan Williams, Alice Parker and Ēriks Ešenvalds follow, with French songs by Debussy, Saint-Saëns and Poulenc and sacred works by Schütz, Salamone Rossi, Randall Thompson, Stanford and Rosephanye Powell.
