Peter-Michael Huber: Are Our Democracies Resilient Enough?
Peter-Michael Huber, a judge on Germany’s Federal Constitutional Court from 2010 to 2023, considers whether growing polarization among Germans may imperil the rule of law on which the country’s political order depends, as polarization rises across Western Europe. Huber has held the Chair of Public Law and State Philosophy at Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich since 2002 and was Thuringia’s Minister of the Interior in 2009 and 2010.
