La Gradiva (2026)
La Gradiva (2026), the feature debut of cinematographer Marine Atlan, follows a group of French high-school seniors on a class trip to Pompeii, where romances, rivalries and arguments about class shift the group's balance. Its title comes from Wilhelm Jensen's novel Gradiva, the basis of Freud's 1907 essay on fantasy and the unconscious. In French with English subtitles, in IFFBoston's Fall Focus.
