Nakamichi Series: Area 9 Saxophone Quartet
Area 9, a Boston-based saxophone quartet, gives this Nakamichi Series recital. Its founding members came together through Ken Radnofsky, who teaches saxophone at the New England Conservatory and Boston University. Recent programmes have paired Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel and Clara Schumann with Ida Gotkovsky and Marc Mellits, and the quartet has commissioned and premiered new works, among them Jun Feng's Somehow, Tango.
