Memoir: Home and Away
Two novelists discuss new essay collections. In Our Arab: On Longing, Belonging, and Hope, Lambda Literary Award winner Zaina Arafat writes about living in the Palestinian diaspora, in essays that move from Nablus to the Appalachians. Michael Lowenthal’s Place Envy: Essays in Search of Orientation follows his travels as a queer, agnostic Jewish man, including to his grandmother’s German hometown. Tina Cassidy, GBH’s chief marketing officer, moderates.
