The 2007 musical, adapted from Amanda Brown’s novel and the 2001 film starring Reese Witherspoon, follows Elle Woods, dumped by a boyfriend bound for politics, from her sorority to Harvard Law School, where she takes on stereotypes, sexism and snobbery. Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin wrote the music and lyrics and Heather Hach the book. The London production won the 2011 Olivier Award for Best New Musical.
