Not So Faust!

Gordon College Theatre · Margaret Jensen Theatre · Barrington Center for the Arts · Gordon College · 255 Grapevine Road · Wenham · MA · Wenham

Jill Rogati directs a comic retelling of the Faust legend, the story of a scholar who sells his soul to the devil in exchange for knowledge, best known from Marlowe's Doctor Faustus and Goethe's Faust. Rogati stages it in the manner of commedia dell'arte, the Italian tradition of masks, physical comedy and playful improvisation, to make the solemn subject silly. It is Gordon College Theatre's fall mainstage production.
