Algebraic Topology Seminar: Sanath Devalapurkar (Institute for Advanced Study)
Sanath Devalapurkar, a member of the Institute for Advanced Study this fall, speaks at MIT’s Algebraic Topology Seminar. He works across algebraic topology, characteristic-p geometry and geometric representation theory, including relative Langlands duality for generalized cohomology theories. Devalapurkar studied mathematics at MIT as an undergraduate, completed a Harvard PhD under Mike Hopkins and Dennis Gaitsgory, and joins Johns Hopkins as an assistant professor in January 2027.
