Puritans in the 21st Century: Politics, Myths, and the Future
A day-long symposium held in honour of the historian Francis J. Bremer, billed as the first major gathering of Puritan scholars in more than two decades, asks what 17th-century Puritan history says about today's politics, from Christian nationalism to the politics of slavery. Bremer, John Coffey, Abram Van Engen and Adrian Chastain Weimer give talks, and David D. Hall moderates a closing panel on the future of Puritan studies.
