Picower Special Seminar: Sangyu Xu, "Contextualized Phenovectors Reveal a Drosophila Serotonergic Circuit Controlling Satiety"

· · · ·

Sangyu Xu, a computational behavioural scientist and Senior Research Fellow in Adam Claridge-Chang’s lab at Duke-NUS Medical School in Singapore, presents DESTRA, a framework for testing whether a circuit manipulation in fruit flies reproduces a whole natural change of state, such as hunger giving way to satiety, rather than moving a single measure. She also discusses DABEST, her estimation-statistics framework. Xu earned her PhD in Susumu Tonegawa’s lab at MIT.
