Artist Talk: Alison Croney Moses
Sculptor Alison Croney Moses, trained in furniture design, talks about a practice that brings woodworking and craft traditions to bear on family, identity, Black motherhood, care and community. Using coopering and bent lamination, she shapes wood into curving forms that evoke the body, shelter and touch, and her talk covers work drawn from pregnancy, childbirth and caregiving. The lecture is part of Brandeis's Post-Baccalaureate Lecture Series.
